Lucy Bohnsack received her BFA in Photography from the Lesley University College of Art and Design in 2004 where she first began experimenting with what would become her signature tactile approach to photography. Working along two parallel photographic styles concurrently, that of personal documentation and studio portraiture, Lucy utilizes this ever expanding database to investigate what it means to process images in order to fully understand and explore the concept of memory. Her work has won awards, been published, shown in galleries, and her large pandemic work, Masks for Main Street, is now part of the permanent archives at The New York State Museum. Lucy lives and works in Catskill, NY with her husband and two children.
